Brush Studio offers painting “courses” where participants spend 2-3 hours following the instructions of an artist to recreate a famous or well-known painting – all with the help of a little wine or beer, if you so desire.
“Even if you haven’t held a brush since you were 3-years-old,” said owner David Forbes, “you can come out with a really cool painting that looks like the original, but has your own stamp on it as well.”
Brush Studio provides all the supplies – canvas, brushes, paints – that you need, including an artist with the expertise to lead you through the process. “It’s a great way to spend a few hours with friends having a few drinks and making great art,” Forbes said. “We looked all around for the best place to locate it and kept coming back to West End. All you have to do is look around here, and you see our core demo walking, shopping, eating and drinking.”
Forbes said that initially it is often groups of women who come in to try it, but “once the guys show up and give it a try, they end up coming back.” Brush Studio also offers corporate team building and other events.
